  1. We chose the name Hope as in hope for our future and Phoenix for her middle name because it means to rise from the ashes, because I had that feeling something was going to happen… sure enough, at 29+2 I was told in the middle of a obstetrics appointment that I was going to have an emergency C-section section as I was in too much pain and Hope was moving too much that they couldn’t find her on the ultrasound.

Today she is just over 4 kg and doing well ?

  2. Her name is Hope because we had hope that our first pregnancy test would be positive even though it was negative. We love the name and we love her. She gave us Hope for a better life. Hope is always a good thing to look forward to and is used in a positive way. Hope is a miracle and a blessing

  3. I chose Hope for my daughter as I’ve had Gods Angels following me for the last 10 years with the Bible verse from Hebrews 11:1 and
1 Corinthians 13:13. I was told over 10 years ago that after so many struggles with infertility and many surgical procedures that I may be out of the picture or harder to achieve and I just prayed and wept many nights over this heavy burden on my heart. God saw and answered my prayers so close to the due date for what I also specifically prayed for and it took on a whole new meaning of FAITH, HOPE & LOVE!

  4. It took a lot of “hope” to get our baby. We prayed for a long time for her. So we named her Hope.

  5. Hope is our third girl. We chose the name because we had/ have lots of hopes for what her life will look like. I was also induced with the first two kiddos and I wanted her name to help inspire this birth to be uninduced and uneducated and it was!

  6. its a very pretty name that Im in love with and a very genal name

  7. I’m so glad to be a first time mommy

  8. The baby’s father and I were not always on the same page and fought a lot, by naming her this we set our intentions that by putting her first she would be the Hope in our lives and the reason to stop fighting for her sake.

  9. Every time we say her name we’re reminded of where our faith truly lies – and to always look up to the One who made her.

  14. Mommy and Daddy picked it

  15. We picked Hope bc we had 3 boys before her & we habe been hoping n praying for a girl. When we were discussing names my husband had read off 100s of names and when he read off Hope she started kicking like crazy. We decided she must of liked the name n the meaning behind it bc we had Hoped for so long to get a little girl. My husbands family only produces boys so we never imagined we’d get a girl. Her middle name is Realynn shes named after her father & myself. His middle name is Ray & mine is lynn so we combined them n came up with Realynn.

  16. Sara Hope is special to us because of what she represents. We chose “Hope” as her middle name because she was our Hope during the long drawn-out immigration process. I was in the USA and my husband was stuck in Kenya for 5 months waiting for visa approval. We had no way of knowing if he would make it here in time for her birth- He arrived the day before she was due (Thanksgiving)! And then our baby girl was 3 weeks late. She is everything we could have hoped for, and continues to delight us everyday. She is a living reminder that prayer and hope can triumph even when life seems most impossible.

She is our Hope that the world can learn to accept and love those who don’t fit into a box. Because of her Kenyan-American heritage, she will always be beautifully different. It is our job to make sure she learns to love her differences and embraces both cultures equally.
