Elizabeth is my first favorite girl’s name when I was at the wee little age of 3. It didn’t seem like the right name until this baby. She also goes by Elle. And Nickname of Dragon.
Elizabeth to Lizzy (nope) to Lizard (nope) to Dragon ? Yup!!

My husband always loved the name Elizabeth. Her mother’s name was Anne Elizabeth ” Annabeth ” and she passed away when my husband was only 3.
He wanted to name his lovely future daughter Elizabeth.
When I got pregnant, he suggested the name Elizabeth for our baby.
Honestly I didn’t like it, it’s too old fashioned. But my husband always adores me, respects me and he’s so wisdom and he’s the true Gentleman.
So we named our daughter Elizabeth Annelise Leah.
Her nickname is of course Lilibet / Lilibeth 🙂

Elizabeth Vivienne was named after my Maternal Grandmother (Elizabeth) and Vivienne is just a beautiful name I’ve always admired. I love how much of a variety she has for nicknames too. We call her EV, but the possibilities are endless!

I wanted a strong feminine name that had lots of options for nicknames. My work colleague and I nicknamed her Liza during my pregnancy because she kicked me constantly, she has a dancers spirit. ?

  What a quinky dink! my mother was called elizabeth and she had a bit of a dancers spirit, as she always kicked me constantly. unfortuatley she passed 8th september this year and we went to her funeral on the19th september, she was a very popular women because she loved to dance, her hands eventually turned purple to all the moves she used to do, it wouldn’t surprise me if shes still dancing in her grave now.

We decided to name her after my sister who fought adrenocortical carcinoma the last 1 1/2 years, and she passed away 15 days before our little baby Lizzie was born.
Middle name – Simieanne after my bff who is an amazing friend and who has helped me during the last 4 out of 5 births I’ve had! It’s her first and middle name put together as one, and carries the same meaning as Simeon.

I love this name! I want to name my first daughter Elizabeth, I like the nicknames Betty, Lili, Lizzie, Libby, or Ellie. We chose Elizabeth because we have both male and female infertility factors. We were told IVF was our only option a few weeks before we found out we were pregnant with her. She’s our miracle and we wanted something to reflect that and be a reminder. Elizabeth in the Bible was barren and God blessed her with a son, John the Baptist.

We love the meaning (oath or promise of God) of Elizabeth. She was born at a time in my life when there was much uncertainty and the promises of God were an anchor to me. We liked traditional, biblical names. But wanted a nickname for when she was young. Elizabeth has no shortage of nicknames. Our Elizabeth is “Elsie“, which is an uncommon option, but is a family name and we loved the name Elsie too. Love the meaning of Elizabeth and also her namesake in the Bible. Great name! 😉

Coming from a very abusive background I wanted to change the direction my family had taken.
This name means “consecrated to God”, so I tried to submit the raising of her to a spiritual direction.

This is my daughter’s middle name and we chose it because it’s the name of my husband’s grandmother who raised him. We liked using the name of someone so important to us who has passed away. If we had used it for a first name the only thing I might dislike is some of the possible nicknames (Beth, Betty, Liz, Lizzy) and would want to establish her nickname before someone started calling her one that I don’t like.

It’s my grandmother’s name. You can get a lot of nicknames too such as Beth, Lizzie, Lisbeth, Elle, Liza

Our oldest daughter is Elizabeth. She is named after her maternal grandmother. DD is 12 now and a very sweet and seems to care deeply for others needs. She is also bold when the situation calls for it. Her middle name is Jeanine.

It was a family name. Traditional with a lot of options for nicknames although we haven’t been able to decide on one. She has many!!! Everyone wants it to be something different
