Share Your Thoughts 2 Comments Thierry Mar 13 at 5:22 pm While we had trouble settling on a girl name, we knew our child would be Levin if we were going to have a boy. We chose this name based on a character from ‘Anna Karenina’ by Leo Tolstoy. The Levin character is the most humble and changing towards good character, the type of man we can hope our son to emulate one day. This novel is meaningful to our relationship as it is part of our meeting one another. Reply Leslie Jun 24 at 1:06 pm Levin was my father’s middle name, and I always liked that it was unique. After my father passed away in my early 20s from pancreatic cancer, I knew that if I ever had a son that I would want to name him after his grandfather. More recently I also learned that Levin was the name of my first ancestor to arrive from England to the United States, which added another bit of history to his name.
