  1. First name is Everett (a family name) and middle name is James. He goes by EJ!

We love a classic name, and nicknames, so we were excited to be able to blend all of those things. We think Everett (and EJ) is a strong, but beautiful name that will grow well with our baby, from childhood through adulthood.

  2. We didn’t name our baby until he was 7days old, we utilized the mama natural baby names and all of the tips on selection. I liked checking the stats on the names and the desperations

  3. My husband and I first moved in together in a small studio apartment in Chicago, IL from SW Iowa. I had been accepted into an art college for graphic design. After moving out there, we found out the school had gone bankrupt. Having already moving out there and not wanting to break our years lease, we spent our first year living together exploring Chicago. We eloped at the courthouse, spent so much of our free time traveling throughout the city, and really got to become best friends with one another. Everett was the name of the street we had lived on: Everett Avenue. We knew, for the past few years now, our first son was going to be named after the greatest adventure we could have ever asked for.

  4. Everett is cute. However, I’m not a fan of the potential nn, Rhett. There’s a narcissistic abusive Rhett that we unfortunately had in our lives.

  5. It’s not very popular now but it was in the 1930’s, like our other sons name (Nelson).

  6. Family name

  7. We wanted a name that you don’t hear very often. I have never met another Everett and the name just sounds very strong and “Old Timey” which I absolutely love.

  8. Everett means brave and strong, and I love that we’re affirming our little man every time we call his name. It’s unique enough that there probably won’t be several Everetts in his classes growing up, but not so unique that people will have significant trouble saying or spelling it. It also has German roots, and we are German. It’s perfect for our little one!

  9. My late grandmother’s name was Eve and we chose Everett to honor her. Had he been a girl we likely would’ve went with Everlie for the same reason. ?

  10. We choose the name Everett Leon because it is my husband’s father and brother’s name and in his family it’s tradition to have the second son carry on the grandfather’s name. So our son is the third. I love his name though! It’s not very common, but still not some wild and out there name that sounds stupid, its way to spell and pronounce and it has a special meaning to our family. I really can’t imagine my son being named anything other than Everett. It suits him to a T!

  11. Amazing!

  12. His daddys name is Everett so we named our son that as well, to keep the name going.

  13. We named him Everett after my great uncle who was the kindest man I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. It’s also a very classic name that’s strong yet gentle I think. Also the name meaning has meaning to, brave as a boar. My family ( before I got married) crest/motto has a boar on it.
