I named my youngest son Asa 5.5 yrs ago. It’s a cute name for a boy and will be a nice name for a man.

My son’s partner x chose ‘Asa’ as the name for their son, because my son’s sister had been traumatized by someone called Asa. His partner used the name for a purpose, diametrically opposite of its Hebrew meaning. Good names can be used for bad intentions. In this case, for hate.

I acros this name ASA when i was watching a film called (mallin) is a magician film. The name of king`s son in the film is called ASA. I also found it in the Bible in the book of (1st king 15:9 king Asa). The name is so simple, so sweet to call and very short, in fact i love it. when i get married my first bone will be called ASA. I thought may be is just normal nick name meaning about something else.

I wanted a biblical name but also wanted to name him after one of his grandpa’s. His grandpa’s name is Asa Wayne so that’s what we went with. I also love the hebrew language. Asa in hebrew is healer/physician.
Fallon
Daddy’s doing but like unusual name to he decided to give him name
Stephanie
We liked it.

We wanted a biblical name but also wanted to name him after one of his relatives. So we ended up with Asa, after King Asa in the bible and his grandpa Asa. I like that we were able to find a biblical name & family name simultaneously.
Lisa
We love the story of King Asa in the Bible, how he loved and served the Lord with his whole heart even though no one else was. We want Asa to do what’s right in the Lords eyes even if the culture around us is doing something else
Nicole
It paired well with my first son’s name (Asher). I like the meaning – healer and it’s an Old Testament name like my first son’s name.
Lara
We love that Asa was a good king of the Bible. Most people have not heard that name so it is often said wrong. It is becoming more popular though, as we have met 5 other Asa’s now.
Katie
We chose Asa because we wanted a short name, since we were hyphenating last names. We both knew men named Asa in the past and thought it was a good choice.
I like that it’s short and lets me call him lots of nice names (Ace, Asa Base, Asa Spaces, etc.) but it’s frustrating that people can’t pronounce it. Ay-sah. We get a lot of Az-ah pronunciations.
