My GI specialist today said nearly all probiotics are dead and useless by the time they get from a warehouse or store to your house and in your gut. And the ones for babies are especially useless.

He said they are all very unregulated as well.

He only recommends a couple and says they should be received refrigerated.

Hello, I have tested positive for Group B Strep so I will be given antibiotics during labor. I just recieved mamanatural baby probiotic drops today and was wondering how soon should I give my baby these probiotic drops? Should I wait until he is a week old? Should I start giving him these drops on day 2 of life? When would be a good time to give him these drops? All the directions recommend are 7 drops per day. Please, help! (Also, taking mamanatural birth classes online.)

In reply to BK. Yes, I don't love those additional ingredients in Probonix, especially for very young children who shouldn't be eating ANY food whatsoever besides breast milk or formula.

I bought the well belly probiotic for my son I’ve tried to make a goat yogurt with it twice in different amounts both failed. Does that mean this probiotic is not active?
