Easton Name Meaning
A style Houdini of sorts, Easton manages to mix and mingle with a variety of trends without batting an eyelash. He’s a place name pick with plenty of locations to choose from, as well as a surname find with an upscale air to him. At the same time, Easton manages to feel like an untamed pick, perfect for a little guy on the move.
Easton is a great name for parent’s looking to avoid unwanted nicknames, though East and Easy are there if you choose. He’s boyish and brave with an air of adventure, a great pick for a spirited little one. Akin to Hudson, Brody, and Weston, Easton feels right at home in tales from the Wild West.
He’s seen a meteoric rise in popularity, yet doesn’t feel overused or common. As his usage grows he becomes more and more relatable, a familiar friend who isn’t all that out there. He manages to walk the fine line between feeling modern and vintage, a likable pick without a clear label of either like Jayden or Wallace.
Easton works well among the vowel name trend seen today, a nice alternative to the more popular Ethan or Eli. He’s also got the style of Jackson and Mason without all the popularity. He’s a sweet pick who’s here to stay, wowing parents with his versatility.

My husband and I just loved the name. For us the journey to becoming parents was a little over 5 years. We picked out names the first year of our marriage and we were always sure of this one.
Abby
I love the name Easton. Very upper class!
Madison
We have an Easton and Lawson. We just love the names!
Ed
So I am the third (III) Edward Thomas (last name to remain anonymous because its the internet) the III. I just didn’t want to name my child the 4th. My wife came up with the first name. I am from the town of Easton but live in another state far away from where I grew up…so Easton was an option. Now he’s Easton Thomas (last name). The name still honors my full name and where I grew up.
Eastan
The name can be feminine too if you change the spelling and my nickname is E.
Tobi
I liked the name Easton because it’s unique
Jess
Ok. My 4th boy, I kept the ‘on’ of course, Easton. I just came to visit my mom nearly 2 months before I gave birth so I had him in kokomo, Indiana. He was born in January 2016. Hes rotten for sure.
Jasmine
My high school bestfriend and I finally came together and were blessed very early into our relationship with a beautiful son. We named him after his late friend, Easton, who’s life was short, yet meaningful. Anyone who has had the privilege of knowing him describes him as a lover of life, an undying light, a genuine and humble human who appreciated the beauty of his friends, family, and home. May he Rest In Peace and receive the happiness he’s always given to others.
Janina
We liked the name because to us it means peace and the sun rises in the east with a new beginning everyday. It just seemed to match our like guy once we met him.
Elisa
My husband found it on a list and really liked it. We wanted something different but not too out there. We also did research on the meaning and that helped us to like the name more. I could not commit right away but it grew on me and before I knew it we were calling our baby Easton.
Jessica
We like the name Easton because it’s a unique name .

KatlynDustin
I came up with his name because I like to name my kids something that ain’t heard of alot an at the time he was born that name wasn’t very popular, but of course after I had him an named him that everyone else started naming their boys that.
Kimberly
My husband and I loved the name!
Jessikah
Had him in January. Hes my 4th son. Loved this name for a while. Of course I have an “E” named child, two “J” named children so I needed another “E” name lol.
Chelsea
We are a family full of boys and all 3 of the bigs play baseball. Dad, mom and the biggest brother hunt. All the boys wanted a name that associates with all of them and hunting. So Easton baseball bats and Easton arrows. Best of both and we have one handsome little boy.
Lacey
My husband and I own a dance studio, and we didn’t want our child to have a name of any kid at our studio. Luckily having a boy made it slightly easier to do this. When we picked Easton, we basically went through a list of baby names and picked 3 names that we loved. Something that had a good ring to it with our last name and the two middle names we were deciding between. We also wanted something that sounded like a “stars” name. As we are sure our kid will grow up around the dance studio and someday dance. And potentially, like his daddy, become a professional dancer. Easton’s dad danced for a major ballet company out of high school.
Cassie
We wanted a name that was unique and that I have not run across yet being a teacher. We also wanted something with long vowel sound as my husband has two boys from previous with long vowel sounding names.
Shannon
I wanted something that was unique-ish without being made up. Easton isn’t as common as James or Michael but isn’t unheard of. Then since we’re a baseball/softball family & our older kids have used that brand of equipment for years, it was an easy choice.
Ashley
I have liked Easton forever. Long before I ever thought about pregnancy and kids. The name stuck with me. It’s not after baseball like most think but honestly I can’t tell you why or how I came across it several years ago.
Sarah
He laughs all the time
Brittany
I love that it’s not too country and not too city.
Ashley
I really liked the name
Jillian
I come from a family of “J” names, so when my husband and I were expecting and brainstorming we realized most of our favorite names started with “E”. My husband played baseball and when I mentioned I loved the name “Easton”, he immediately jumped on board.
holly
My husband and I have a really tough time with boy names. Out of LOTS and LOTS of boys names, Easton was the only one we could both agree on. It means river settlement. Which is really cool because our last name means river. It makes me think of Psalm 23…He leads me beside quiet waters.
Leah
Honestly we just loved the name! It was simple and knowing him now it just fits him.
